Okay, I thought the live concert might be your last chance for a while, but here are two more chances! If you missed the recording concert, it was a great time! Ryan Groff and the rest of the band were an excellent compliment to Joni's music. It was very fun to be involved with her next cd in that way. Can't wait!

I'll be there ... will you? Pass the word! In case you missed the News-Gazette article, Joni is relocating out west, so this may be one of the last chances to see her play in town for a long while.
On Saturday, February 18, 2006, I will be performing a Recording Concert for my next CD. That´s right, I´m making a live recording with 11 new songs and one or two old favorites, and I hope as many of you as possible can be a part of this endeavor. There are many ways you can help!
First, if you live anywhere near central Illinois and are willing to make the trip, I would love to have you in my studio audience. The concert will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Green Street in Urbana. It will be a fun night with complementary drinks and snacks, raffle prizes and more. There´s nothing I´d like more than a packed house of cheering fans on my new live record. You can be sure to get a good seat by purchasing reserved seating in advance.
Second, you can purchase a new CD in advance. Your purchase will help me make this CD a reality. There are all kinds of costs involved with recording a CD – musicians, equipment rental, space rental, a recording engineer, mixing, mastering, graphics, CD duplication, etc.; and, the "bottom line" shows that my new music career doesn´t pay as much as my old day job, so I need the cash flow up front to make it all happen.
Third, you can become a Contributor. If you are fortunate enough to be one of those people with enough discretionary income to be a Patron of the Arts, I would sincerely appreciate your patronage. For your patronage I will perform a concert in your home for you and your guests. I will also write a song for you – a song that represents you and/or your feelings about something or someone.
You can learn more about reserved seating, advance purchase of CDs and becoming a Contributor at www.jonilaurence.com/contribute.php.
I've arrived safely in Seattle tonight and learned that my radio spot tomorrow in Olympia can be heard live via the internet. Please check it out! I will be on KAOS at 4 pm western time - that's 6 pm back in the central time zone. Here's the link http://www.kaosradio.org/.
Also, please help me promote my Northwest dates. Tell all your friends and family in the area!

Links & iTunes A few updates are happening at Joni's site. Check out her Links page - a new artist has been added, as well as a link here (yay!) and a link to Joni's iTunes page. How awesome is that she has an iTunes page? Just me? ;-)
Audience Pictures Don't forget, if you have pictures from any of Joni's shows that you would like to share, you can email them to her or me and they will go in the galleries.
Looks like that is all for now. Have a great week!
A couple of weeks ago I performed live on WTTW, the PBS station in Chicago, on a program called Arts Across Illinois: CenterStage. The program is being aired tape-delayed at various times on other PBS affiliates in Illinois. Not all of the PBS stations have scheduled an airtime for the program, but for those who have, I've listed the information below. I'll keep you posted as I gather more information. Hope you can check it out!!
I hope you’re enjoying the warm summer weather. I’ve been getting some good “porch” time since I’ve been home from touring. I just love watching the neighborhood and strumming on my guitar.
I have some SUPER EXCITING news I want share with everyone. Next Thursday night, June 16th at 8:00 p.m., I will be performing live on WTTW Channel 11 in Chicago on a program called “Arts Across Illinois: CenterStage.” If you live in the Chicago area, southern Wisconsin, or northwestern Indiana, you can watch this program as it airs live. Everyone else in the state of Illinois can view this program on your local PBS station sometime in the following weeks. Just call your local PBS station to find out when they will air the program. “Arts Across Illinois: CenterStage” will run in the Champaign area on WILL on Wednesday, August 10th at 8:00 p.m. I’m REALLY looking forward to this opportunity!
Would you like to be part of this amazing experience? “Arts Across Illinois: Center Stage” has a 350 person studio audience, and I get to invite up to 40 people to the show. If you live in the area or want to road trip, you can attend this performance for free! Just call WTTW hotline at 773-509-5614 and leave your phone number and a message regarding how many tickets you’d like to have. They will call you back about “casting” you as an audience member.
I will hit the road again this Saturday for about a week’s worth of shows. Please pass on the word that I will be performing in these areas. Hope to see you at a show soon!
Thank you to all of you who have been following my career and wishing me well along the way. I’ve had quite a ride this year, and it looks like there are more adventures ahead of me.
Rachel Garlin and I had a terrific 3-week tour on the west coast, and beginning next weekend, we will embark on a 4-week Midwest tour. I’ve listed all of our dates below. Please go to my website at www.jonilaurence.com/tour.php for more information about each show.
I’d really appreciate it if you could ask all of your friends, family and acquaintances in the towns where we’ll be playing to come out to the show. Growing our following from town-to-town really depends on you and getting the word out. Thank you in advance for helping to promote the tour.
Here are our dates…I hope to see you at a show next month!!
